About this course
Spark AI
Ages: 8 – 12
Course Description
This hands-on session offers a dynamic overview of Artificial Intelligence concepts through practical coding projects. You’ll learn to develop an intelligent language translator, an AI-powered game focusing on perception, a text recognition program using computer vision, and an interactive AI face filter with pose detection. You’ll also build programs for person and object identification, a voice-controlled drawing application, and explore how machine learning models simulate human cognitive processing. Through these projects and real-world case studies, you’ll gain a tangible understanding of AI’s capabilities and limitations.

This experiential session provides students with an overview of the ideas and concepts of Artificial Intelligence.
Learn to develop an intelligent Language Translator & understand its real-world applications.
Learn to code and develop an AI game with the important AI concept: Perception.
Learn to code and develop an AI program that will read and recognize text using computer vision tools.
Learn to guide a butterfly through a maze using just your nose movement, avoid obstacles, and win the game by reaching the exit.
Learn about perception in AI and develop an AI program that will identify the person and indicate it with a square box.
Learn to code and develop an AI program that will recognize objects. Students will explore and understand image classification using a computer vision tool and how machines require labeled data to learn.
Learn to create your own talking chatbot that listens to your voice and responds like a real conversation partner.
Learn to code and develop an AI program, and train it using Machine Learning models to simulate how the human brain processes words, colors, patterns, etc., differently.
Explore case studies and scenarios where AI outperforms humans, and where it does not.
